Now a little about Moira's inspiration...

We absolutely love this entire suite!

We stated working with Sarah and her fiance Matt on their save the dates. They wanted to focus their wedding weekend to create a mini vacation for their guests and prepare those traveling to San Diego with any information they may need in offer to prepare their trip.

In order to convey a great amount of information, we created save-the-date booklets for each of their guest. The booklets included information from directions, hotel information, favorite restaurant, weather and proper dress, water temp, and surf spots. Each of the booklets was paired with their actual save the date. The pair was bound corner to corner with a papaya orange satin ribbon and nestled in a craft colored mailing box. Each box was sealed with a wrap around label in matching fonts and motifs. We created three custom stamps for the boxes as well bearing the messages of Save the Date, their wedding date, and the wedding location. What a wonderful way to set the tone for an upcoming seaside wedding!

Their save the dates were playful and bright, but we wanted to go a slightly different direction with their invitations. We used the same motifs and base colors, but put more emphasis on the blues and neutrals than the oranges. This created an overall cohesive look and feel, but conveyed a more formal tone for the invitations.

The wedding invitation pieces were all mounted on a textured camel colored backing. Each of the invitations pieces were also printed on their reverse side to further incorporate the brides' theme and motifs. All the invitation pieces were tied with twine and placed into a custom lined envelope. My favorite part? The response envelope was also lined with a custom liner! The inner envelope bore the couples monogram in opaque white calligraphy ink. The outer envelopes were addressed in a modern hand using the same opaque calligraphy ink.

The reception pieces for this suite were equally as amazing! Their ceremony programs were tucked inside a cover made of the same textured camel paper and were all tied up in bows. The ribbons alternated from the ribbon used on their save the dates, the twine from their invitations, and the blue ribbon used on their reception pieces. We also created three different designs for their place cards, table numbers, buffet menus, ceremony reserved signs, and reception signs.
